Information and Follow-up
Electrical Work Reminder:

  • Switchgear Work (SG-X8).  Sectors 28, 29, 30, and 31 will have no power for three days starting
    6:00 a.m. on 8/29/05.
  • Emergency Power Work.  Sectors 28 through 35 will have no emergency power starting 6:00 a.m. on 9/1/05 for one day.
  • Power can be run to the sectors via extension cords from the top of the Storage Ring tunnel

Still looking for volunteers for automated beam steering, sectors 5, 10, 15, 24 and 34 have volunteered thus far.

Green Detex Burn Paper is no longer available.  Looking for options (will distribute more free samples).  Please provide feedback to John Quintana (jpq@aps.anl.gov)

APS FY2005 Long Range Operations Schedule with Changes to 2005-2
Run 2005-02 is over.

Safety
Jeff Alicz announced safety inspections will be conducted in 434 and 435.  Safety representatives from APS divisions will inspect Sector 19 either Tuesday, August 30th, or Wednesday, August 31st.

Operation dates:  October 4th starts beamline; September 27th machine startup; September 26th next CAT Chat meeting

Rod Salazar will send e-mail (see table) to CATs regarding schedule of switchgear work to be done.

Emergency power will be available for 12 hours with the exception of 15 seconds at the start of the shutdown and 2 seconds at the end of the shutdown 12 hrs later.

All HVAC will not be available.

Only Emergency lighting will be available.

The DI water pumps will be off.

Technical side of SG-X8 not affected.
