Canted ID Shutters J. Quintana:
Air Solenoid
New canted IDs designed to have air solenoids in tunnel to simplify air handling.
Sector 24 solenoid failed, replaced with identical solenoid since that is what was on hand.
Solenoids with metal parts were put in to 23 and 24 during shutdown to fix problem. 21 was not done (sector has no beamline yet).
Limit switch springs did not have enough retention force in new design.
Springs were manually cut down as a temporary solution. New springs are specified for the shutters.
Spring was not replaced in 21 shutter since beamline was not working.
Vacuum leak was suspected in Sector 24 shutter bellows.
Shutter was replaced with Sector 21's assembly.
Bellows failed after 29K cycles.
On 3/17 Sector 24 (i.e. 21's) shutter failed due to spring problem.
