Information and Follow-up Items
Recently, we were able to view web pages such as: log pages, parameters, bpm data, etc., and now they're missing. Will these web pages be available again?
Yes. We are in a transition period. The removal of the above-mentioned pages was an oversight. The pages of most importance have been restored.
This transition will eventually allow for direct feedback of steering corrections etc., by the main control room operators. It is felt that when this changeover is complete, it will improve communication between those running the accelerators and the user on the floor.
Bob Ferry reviewed the operational start-up for run 2001-4. Last week, the storage ring availability was ~ 96.4%. The mean time between faults is 21.4 hours. A total of seven faults occurred. The faults consisted of: two vacuum faults, two radiation monitor trips, two rf, faults and one kicker magnet. All faults have been looked into for further investigation and/or have been corrected.
A 48-hour machine studies period will occur on Tuesday, December 3 beginning at 0800 hours. User operation with low emittance lattice in top up mode will continue for one more week.
Beginning December 11, user operations will start with non top-up. The run will end on December 23 at midnight. Shutdown will begin on the 24th of December with only three short weeks of maintenance. User operations will begin on January 23 at 0800 hours.
