Information and Follow-up Items
The liquid nitrogen dewars are moved through the truck locks for refilling. In some areas the pavement is cracked and uneven which can cause a safety hazard. Can we get this fixed?
We will examine these areas and repair the surfaces.
When will the off-site users be able to access the APS stock catalog?
Modifications are complete. Access should now be available to view the APS stock catalog.
User Operations
This past weeks performance was displayed to the group showing no faults since the last Cat Chat. Starting, Tuesday, March 21 at 0800 hours, machine studies will take place followed by the Special Operating Mode (SOM) starting at 1600 hours. A hybrid fill will be used with 6 consecutive bunches for BPM timing and containing a maximum of 15 mA along with 8 groups of 7 bunches with a maximum current of 10.5 mA per group.
General Information
Oxygen and phoebus will be shutdown today, Friday, March 17 for hardware repairs. This will take place at 5:00 pm. All repairs will be complete by 6:30 pm. A cat-net message will be sent shortly with further details.
