Information and Follow-up Items
Recently, there has been a substantial amount of work being done on the liquid nitrogen dewars by LOM 431. What is taking place there?
The work that is underway is the final tie-in for the liquid nitrogen system. This work will be completed soon. The liquid nitrogen system installation is proceeding, and all zones will be completed by mid-November.
User Operations
The current user run will end on Wednesday, September 28, at midnight. Scheduled maintenance will take place until October 29. User Operations will begin again on November 4 at 0800 hours. Overall, the availability for the run is ~ 95%.
General Information
The DuPage County Solid Waste Department is sponsoring one-day, mobile collection events for hazardous waste items containing poisonous, flammable, or corrosive chemicals. Notices have been provided with additional information regarding the dates and locations where these items may be dropped off. More information is available by calling the Solid Waste Department at (630) 682- 6758.
Safety
During the next week, road work will be underway to fix roadway and parking lot cracks along with sealing some of the roads. Some short-term lane and road closures will be necessary. Please exercise caution when driving near work areas.
