The newly expanded Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum is the site for this year's conference reception and banquet. This spectacular building is situated on a half-mile-long peninsula on Lake Michigan on Chicago's museum campus. The glass-enclosed sky pavilion, an architecturally striking 60,000-square-foot addition to this landmark structure, provides spectacular views of the Chicago skyline and will be the location for both our reception and banquet. In addition, the StarRider Theater, an interactive virtual reality experience, will be available during the reception. This experience provides viewers with the opportunity to navigate themselves through computer-generated environments projected onto the domed screen in a seamless 360 degree view. A number of interactive, hands-on exhibits will also be available during the reception. A guide to the facility will be included in the meeting information packet.
