Directions from the Airports
Argonne National Laboratory and nearby hotels are about 45 minutes by car from each of the two major Chicago airports, O'Hare and Midway (see map below). Limousine and taxi service is available from each airport, and major car rental agencies serve both airports. Limousine reservations can be made by calling:
From Midway Airport, take Cicero Avenue north to the entrance to Interstate 55 south (toward St. Louis), which will be on your left, then proceed as described above.
The main conference hotel is the Argonne Guest House, which is only a one-block walk from the APS facility and Conference Center. This facility is managed by Sodexho. Blocks of rooms have also been reserved at the Holiday Inn Willowbrook, the Fairfield Inn, the Bugetel Inn, the Ramada Limited, and the Comfort Inn. Three are located in Willowbrook near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Illinois Route 83, and the other two are in Bolingbrook near Interstate 55 and Illinois Route 53 (see map below). Special rates will be provided by all hotels to conference participants. To make reservations, please indicate your preference on the registration form. Please note that reservations for lodging at all conference hotels must be received no later than July 1, 1998, to obtain the special conference rate and guarantee housing.
