SRI `95 Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are now being solicited for posters for SRI `95, the ninth in a series of biennial national meetings for those interested in new developments in synchrotron radiation instrumentation. This meeting is being hosted by the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory and will be held on October 18-20, 1995.

SRI `95 will cover new developments throughout the broad field of synchrotron radiation instrumentation, including, but not limited to, synchrotron radiation facilities, insertion devices, optics (monochromators, mirrors, zone plates, interferometers, retardation optics, high-heat-load optics, etc.), advanced detectors, storage-ring technology, beamline technology, and synchrotron-radiation applications (spectroscopy, scattering, imaging, time-resolved techniques, etc.). Both invited and poster presentations are planned. In addition, the following workshops are scheduled:

  • Innovations in the Design of Mechanical Components of a Beamline
  • Radiation Shielding and Personnel Protection at Synchrotron Radiation Sources
  • Performance Optimization of Synchrotron Radiation Storage Rings
  • Microstructures
  • Beamline Instrumentation for Short-Wavelength FELs
  • Timing Structure of Storage Rings
  • Photon Beam Diagnostics
  • Alternative Methods for meV-Resolution Inelastic Scattering

    Abstract Submission:

The deadline for abstract submission is July 30, 1995. Authors will be notified of acceptance by September 5, 1995, at which time instructions for submission of the paper will be given. The refereeing process will take place prior to the meeting, and final versions of the paper must be submitted at the beginning of the conference for inclusion in the conference proceedings. Proceedings will be published as a supplement to the Review of Scientific Instruments in CD-ROM format only. All abstracts of accepted papers will be posted on the World Wide Web following their assignment to poster sessions.
