Beamline 29-ID-C,D: IEX - Intermediate Energy X-ray

Description

Beamline 29-ID focusses on intermediate energy (250 to 2500 eV, first harmonic) scattering and electron spectroscopy of condensed matter systems. It is equipped with two end-stations, one for angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) and another for resonant soft x-ray scattering (RSXS) studies. The ARPES instrument has a highly focused x-ray beam (~40x10 microns), variable temperature (T=6-300K), and a Scienta R4000 electron analyzer. The RSXS instrument has an in-vacuum diffractometer with variable temperature cryostat (T=20-300K). The beamline is now accepting general users.
