· Ph. D. in Physics 1990 Purdue University

· Research Associate at the Hamburger Synchrotron Strahlungslabor  HASYLAB, Hamburg, Germany , 1990-1995

· Staff Scientist with Oak Ridge Nat’l Laboratory and Beamline Manager of X14 at the National Synchrotron  Light Source, Brookhaven Nat’l Laboratory, 1995-1996

· Beamline Scientist at the Complex Materials Consortium -Collaborative Access Team (CMC-CAT) and X-ray Operations and Research (XOR)- Sector 9 at the Advanced Photon Source, 1996-2007
