OBJECTIVE This lesson module is intended to familiarize the reader with the use of LOVE Controllers as monitoring devices for experimental equipment. Upon completion of this module, the reader should understand the LOVE Controller's functions, be able to read its displayed information properly, clear alarms, and to be able to reprogram alarm setpoints. Note: Depending on the PSS "Generation" or version on a particular beamline, the beamline may or may not have any LOVE controllers. Generation 1 beamlines have LOVE controllers to reset, but the LOVE controllers are being replaced by analog modules. By the 2010-01 Run startup, all LOVE controllers are scheduled to be replaced by the analog modules. Beamlines with PSS Generation 1 with the mini-upgrade and Generation 3 have analog modules, that need no further reset. |
