Summary of work:

 

10-05-04

 

1.      Hydro tested entire klystron hot-spare water system at 60psig.  This included all manifold piping, tubing, klystron collector, klystron body and focusing magnet.

 

During the test, the quick-disconnect type drain valve on the neck of the collector leaked.

 

No other leaks found.

 

2.      Removed magnet from system and conducted test at 95psig.

 

During this test, the fitting seemed to stop leaking.

3.      Installed 1 micron filter on supply hose of hydro test cart.

 

4.      Connected klystron collector only to hydro test cart.

 

5.      Flushed water through leaking fitting for 15 minutes.

 

6.      Hydro tested klystron collector at 60 psig for 15 min.  No leaks found.

 

7.      Raised pressure to 90 psig for 15 min.  No leaks found.

8.      Water drained from manifold.

 

9.      Removed water from collector, body and magnet (in three separate steps) by blowing with compressed air.
