New IT Group Phone Number Phone

The Information Technology group phone number is being changed from 2-9273 to 2-9700 on the morning of Tuesday, February 12th. The new number is easier to remember since it's the same as Argonne's street address - 9700 South Cass Ave.

The IT group phone number is used for urgent requests or if you do not have access to the Support Request System from Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

SKYPE at the APSSkype

Skype is a VOIP (voice over internet protocol) solution which lets you make free calls over the internet to anyone else who also has the service. It's free and easy to download and use, and it works with most computers. Skype offers global telephony and unlimited voice calls with its next-generation peer-to-peer software.

Skype is currently supported at the APS and works well from the APS visitor and wireless networks for all platforms: Windows, Linux and MAC OS. For APS Internal wired access, including CAT wired, Windows and Linux clients can use Skype when configured as shown here.

At this point, we do not have a solution for Mac computers using the Internal network, due to a proxy configuration limitation within Skype.
